🖌️ My Drawing of Cufant – No. 878 in the Pokédex

Here’s my take on Cufant, the adorable Steel-type Pokémon first introduced in Pokémon Sword and Shield! This friendly elephant Pokémon has always stood out to me because of its design — a mix of strength and cuteness that feels perfectly balanced.

In my artwork, I wanted to bring out Cufant’s playful personality and capture its warm, copper-like color with bold outlines and a vibrant background. The turquoise shading and stylized lines give it a slightly hand-drawn comic look, while still keeping that cheerful Pokémon vibe.

Cufant’s design is inspired by young elephants and industrial themes, with its metallic tones symbolizing its steel typing. In the games, it’s known for carrying heavy loads with its trunk, and when it evolves into Copperajah, it becomes a powerhouse of strength and determination.

This drawing was a fun one to create — from shaping its rounded features to highlighting that shiny metal cap on its head. I also added my own personal touch to the typography, writing its name and Pokédex number (#878) in a fluid, playful style to match the overall energy of the piece.

I love how this one turned out — it feels full of motion and personality, like Cufant is joyfully walking right off the page. 🐘✨
